Overview of the domestic card project
We are positioned to reshape the card payment space in Nigeria.
The Domestic Card Scheme, which was approved by the Central Bank of Nigeria, is focused on deepening financial inclusion in the country, reducing costs, improving efficiency, meeting the market needs, and supporting the move to a cashless economy.
The Domestic Card will be launched with the unbanked and underbanked in mind while catering to the banked population via various customer-made payment products
There are many ways that financial institutions route domestic transactions today in Nigeria. Domestic card schemes will facilitate and ensure that transactions are consummated effectively & timely from Acquirer to the Issuer and respond to the market requirements for new payment services.
